Syma drone is unstable or flies sideways.
The main reason for the instability of the Syma quadcopter is miscalibration. Besides that, malfunctioning motors, short wires, and distorted propellers cause the issue.
- Calibrate Syma quadcopter. Turn on the quadcopter, pair it to the controller, and leave it on a flat surface. Then pull both controller sticks to the right bottom corner to calibrate the drone.
- Replace propellers with a new set of propellers if some are distorted.
- Inspect gear system of malfunctioning propellers. If the quadcopter is still unstable after calibration, then there might be a misalignment in the gear system. Uncover the quadcopter and check whether all the gears connected with the motor are perfectly aligned.
- Replace malfunctioning motors. If the quadcopter is still flying sideways or unstable, some motors might malfunction. Try replacing motors spinning low rps.
